What is Worm

This equipment is designed for small modulus precision worms (such as automobile wiper shaft worms), planetary screws, trapezoidal threads and other workpieces. This type of workpiece is the core component of automobile transmission and precision machinery, the commonly used material is HRC58-62 hard alloy, and the geometric characteristics are high tooth shape accuracy requirements (±0.01mm), and the surface finish directly affects the transmission noise and life. Traditional processing is prone to risks such as tooth shape error, insufficient finish, and low efficiency.

High Precision Whirling Process

Blank → cyclone milling and milling machining→ surface treatment→ inspection:

  1. Blank: HRC58-62 hard alloy bar, hydraulic chuck precise clamping;
  2. Cyclone milling and milling processing: Cyclone milling head rotates at high speed (2000-5000r/min) to quickly remove allowance; After one processing, the full closed-loop grating system controls the C-axis direct drive motor to ensure that the tooth shape accuracy ± 0.01mm;
  3. Surface treatment: cooling system + 30μm filter to maintain Ra≤0.3μm;
  4. Inspection: Measure tooth shape error and roughness online, and control quality in a closed loop.
