What is Rotor
The rotor is the “heart component” of the progressive cavity pump, which cooperates with the stator to form a sealed cavity to transport fluids (crude oil, chemical media, sewage, etc.). Its materials are mostly superalloys, corrosion-resistant alloys, complex geometries (spiral curved surfaces), and common processing risks include: deformation, rough surface, insufficient positioning accuracy, and high scrap rate.

Rotor Whirling Core Pain Point
There are three major bottlenecks in the processing rotor of traditional vertical machining centers: (1) extremely low efficiency (4-6 hours/piece), delaying order delivery; (2) Poor surface finish (Ra≥3.2μm), which affects the performance of the end product; (3) The scrap rate is as high as 10%, and the cost is seriously wasted; (4) The equipment occupancy rate is high, and high value-added workpieces cannot be taken into account.

Blank (forged/cast) → roughing→ finishing→ surface treatment→ quality inspection
Key points of the sub-link
- Blank stage: select forgings/castings (customized according to material characteristics) to ensure initial rigidity;
- Rough machining: PH50-2000 cyclone milling head (driven by high-power variable frequency motor) quickly removes the margin, and the integrated high-strength bed + double guide rail structure ensures rigidity and avoids deformation;
- Finishing: The feed shaft (X/Z) adopts precision ball screw + Siemens servo motor, with a positioning accuracy of ≤ 0.015mm; Optimized spiral curved tool path to achieve a Ra1.6μm finish;
- Surface treatment: blowing chip removal + centralized lubrication system to keep the workpiece clean and the guide rail wear-resistant;
- Quality inspection: CMM closed-loop control to ensure that the positioning accuracy and repeat positioning accuracy meet the standard.
